Nauyaca is in the south, near Uvita, and the way in is part of it: a ride through jungle and a canyon, by horseback or 4×4, chosen when you book.

At the bottom there are pools to swim in and rock to climb, and enough time to do both. This one is paid in full at least twenty-four hours ahead by invoice link, and it leaves without you if you are late — arrive ten or fifteen minutes early.

  • The falls in full flow into a jade-green pool, forest crowding both banks.
  • The lower falls and its green pool, with people picking their way across the rocks in front.
  • The upper falls close up: two white columns dropping down a dark rock wall.
  • Swimmers on the rocks at the foot of the falls, one walking out across the shallows.
